Teaching Dual Enrollment: A Conversation about Successes and Challenges 

What are the the unique challenges of teaching high school students in the college classroom. How can we bridge the gap between teen and adult learning styles, creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every student thrives? This isn't about finding perfect solutions, but about building a community of practice. Share your experiences, learn from your colleagues, and gain fresh perspectives on fostering academic success for dual enrollment students. Whether you're a seasoned dual enrollment veteran or just beginning your journey, your voice matters in this collaborative exploration. 

Participants will be able to: 

  1. Identify and articulate key pedagogical challenges unique to the dual enrollment classroom, and brainstorm collaborative solutions.  

  2. Share and adapt proven classroom management and engagement strategies for dual enrollment settings. 

  3. Locate and utilize relevant campus resources and support systems to enhance dual enrollment instruction. 

  4. Participate effectively in peer-to-peer discussions to cultivate a continuous improvement mindset for dual enrollment teaching.
