Assign "Credo InfoLit - Core" Information Literacy Courseware

The Library provides InfoLit – Core, an online information literacy instructional module made by Credo Reference for faculty use. InfoLit – Core, also called IL-Core, delivers high-quality, standards-aligned instructional materials on information literacy and critical thinking skills. The modules are ideal for supplementing and supporting your classroom instruction, online teaching, or student remediation needs.

  • Partner with your librarian to enhance library presentations to students
  • Select any part of the modules to use, from one element to all six modules. 
  • Credo supports LTI and Canvas Integration. InfoLit - Core tutorials, videos, and quizzes can be added using the External Tools feature in Canvas. Adding graded quizzes will automatically create an assignment in the course.

ProQuest Research Companion

ProQuest's Research Companion includes three information literacy modules to help students improve their research skills. These self-paced eLearning modules will help students with finding, evaluating, using, and citing information sources. 

ProQuest's Research Companion includes related information literacy tools such as

  • Search Aid - suggests alternative search terms or keywords.
  • Source Evaluation Aid - searches URLs, ISSNs, ISBNs, and titles of written work and provides feedback for evaluating the resource.
  • Citation Builder - guides users in creating correctly formatted MLA or APA citations. 
  • Revision Aid - suggest revisions to improve grammar and sentence structure.
