Hotspots

Hotspot Borrowing Policies and Information

The NWACC library provides a limited number of hotspots that are checked out up to 21 days or 3 weeks on a first come, first serve basis. Only currently enrolled students may check out hotspots. A limited number of faculty and staff hotspots are available.

  • Hotspots are available for checkout at both the Benton County Library and the Washington County Information Commons.
  • You may renew a hotspot once, if other hotspots are available. If all hotspots are loaned out at the time you wish to renew, you must return the hotspot by its due date. Please reach out to the library via text, email, or chat if you have any questions regarding the renewal or return of the hotspot.
  • If there are no hotspots available, students may place a hold for the next available hotspot online via the online catalog.
  • When checking out a hotspot, students are also provided with a charging cable, and a carrying case. Please return all items to the NWACC Library intact by the due date to avoid any late fees and equipment charges.
  • An equipment agreement form must also be signed and on file in the library before one can borrow library equipment. The Equipment Agreement Form can be viewed below:

How to connect to the Wifi Hotspots

Please follow the below instructions when trying to connect to one the NWACC library hotspots. A video tutorial is also available on the "Tutorials and Guides" page.

  • Press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds until the welcome logo appears.
  • Use the side buttons to scroll through the options menu until you see 2.4GHz or 5GHz WIFI Info screen. 
  • Use the Power button to select either WIFI Info screen.
  • You should now see three icons with info displayed next to them:
    •  - This is the wireless network name. It should start with "Verizon...". When you go to the network/WIFI area of your device (laptop, phone, etc.), this is the network name you should look for.
    • - This is the network password. After you have selected the correct network to join, you will be prompted to enter a password. Please enter the password that is listed next to this icon.
