International Education Week Films: Home

November 14th – 17th is International Education Week, a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, is a time for celebrating the benefits of international and multicultural education.

Searching for Films and Documentaries in NWACC Library Resources

There are three main ways to access films and documentaries through NWACC Library. Academic Video Online and Kanopy contain streaming media. You may also search the library catalog for DVDs and some films that the library has purchased.

What is International Education Week at NWACC?

November 14th – 17th is International Education Week, a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, is a time for celebrating the benefits of international and multicultural education.
NWACC’s Global and International Steering Committee are pleased to present four events:
  • November 14th, 12-1:15pm, Sustainable Agriculture, Native Plants, and Perennial Grains: A Discussion with Aubrey Streit Krug from The Land Institute, will be held in SC108.  Dr. Streit Krug is the Director of Ecosphere Studies at The Land Institute in Kansas.  This is an interdisciplinary discussion on the future of agriculture in the context of globalization and climate change. The Land Institute is a science-based research organization working to develop an alternative to current destructive agricultural practices. Our work is dedicated to advancing perennial grain crops and polyculture farming solutions.
  • November 16th, 10:30-11:45pm,  Study Abroad with NWACC.  Study Abroad faculty and staff will present the various opportunities for international travel experiences for college or professional development credit. This event will be help in SC225.
  • Ongoing, Online International Film Festival,  The NWACC Library prepared a database of international films that the college community has access to screen. They are organized by continent and country. https://library.nwacc.edu/internationaleducationfilms
  • Ongoing, Silent Auction The proceeds raised from this event will benefit International Programs and the International Student Scholarship Fund. SC108.
