For emergencies, immediately call 911 from any wireless or landline phone. Many areas do not have 911 texting options, so place a call whenever possible.

Emergency examples include:

  • Medical emergency (including, but not limited to: unconsciousness; gasping or not breathing; chest pain; uncontrollable bleeding; or any other situation requiring immediate medical attention
  • Crime (especially one in progress)
  • Automobile accident (especially if someone is hurt)
  • Fire
  • Bomb threat

When in doubt, call 911 and allow the call-taker to determine whether the situation is an actual emergency.

If you are on campus, AFTER calling 911 and following any instructions you may receive from the 911 call taker, contact or ask someone nearby to contact NWACC Campus Security: 619-4229.
