Books, DVD’s, games, or VHS items may be returned to the library book drop, located in front of the main entrance to Burns Hall.
Look for it from the circle drive, just to the left of the front doors. The book drop is available 24/7 for contactless return.
IMPORTANT: Items will not be cleared from your borrower account until after a period of quarantine. You will receive a system-generated email when the item is checked in.
If you have library equipment checked out, please monitor your NWACC email for information and directions on returning that equipment.
Textbook rentals from the Book Store are NOT accepted
Book store rentals must be returned to the book store.
If you are inside Burns Hall, our "Book Despository" is on the wall next to the drinking fountain.
If an item is due and the borrower does not want to come to campus to return it (due to illness or other extenuating circumstances), they should keep it until they are able to safely return it. We understand that this is a special situation, and special considerations will be made.
Materials may be quarantined for up to 7 days upon return. Do not worry if your items do not immediately come off your account when turned in.
Please do not return equipment (laptops, calculators, headphones, etc.) via the book return in Burns Hall or outside of Burns Hall. If the library is closed due to unforeseen circumstances when your equipment items are due, please return them to a service desk the next time we are open and we will amend any fines.
You can also renew your books online - just log into Your Library Account. You will see your active loans displayed on the Loans section. Look for the title you need to renew and click renew. You can also renew all your active loans by selecting Renew All.
