This guide is an overview of library services and changes due to COVID 19 and social distancing.

Important Changes (Read Before Visiting)

 

Behavior Expectations

For your health and safety and ours, please do the following:

  • Wear a properly fitting face covering over your nose and mouth at all times
  • Use the Library for purposeful studying, research, computer use, and check-out activities
  • Frequently wash/sanitize your hands, especially before and after handling library materials
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Do not eat or drink in the Library
  • Physically distance from Library staff and other patrons/students
  • Use Grab and Go Pick-up Service
  • Read & follow Library guidelines
  • Follow Library staff instructions

Face Coverings Required: For the safety of our college community and to help prevent the spread of COVID 19. NWACC requires all students, employees and visitors returning to campus to wear a face covering/mask upon entry/exit into buildings, while walking through any public or shared spaces, while using shared equipment, and when encountering others in the classroom or inside college buildings.

Daily Health Screening: Students and employees are asked to perform a daily health screening by utilizing the COVID-19 Daily Checklist before leaving home and arriving on campus. For more on NWACC policy, visit this link.

Reports of COVID-19 are to be reported by the student to the Dean of Students Office:

What We are Doing for You

For your health and safety and ours, Library staff:

  1. Follow College requirements for health acknowledgements and expected actions
  2. Wear properly fitting face coverings over nose & mouth in all common areas
  3. Frequently wash hands, especially after handling library materials
  4. Physically distance from one another and library patrons (limit close proximity interactions to fewer than ten minutes)
  5. Quarantine library materials for 7 days (this will result in delays)
  6. Clean and disinfect library surfaces and materials
  7. Create & practice safer processes, including check-outs, reference, and technology assistance modifications
  8. Create and facilitate new services, such as curbside pickups, guided check-outs, quarantine processes and cleaning practices
