Schedule your session at a time in the semester when information is most helpful for your students, usually within 3 weeks of an assignment due date and very near the time it is introduced to students.
Submit your request early to get your preferred date, ideally at least two weeks in advance. 1 week's notice is required.
Sessions are generally held in the Library Classroom (BH 1208), which provides a hands-on learning environment. We will also come to any NWACC location.
We are available for any scheduled class time, including evenings and Saturday.
Effective library instruction sessions are assignment-based.
Faculty should schedule a library session when students are working on a specific assignment.
Provide a copy of the assignment with the library session request.
Librarians are available to collaborate with instructors in designing an assignment or to review an existing assignment.
We will suggest student learning outcomes for the library session based on your assignment's parameters for your approval.
