Welcome, Faculty!

The Library is dedicated to meeting the instructional and information needs of NWACC's faculty members. We offer a variety of resources and services to help you in and out of the classroom. These include:

  • Information Literacy Instruction
Our librarians can meet with your classes and teach them to find, interpret, and think about information critically and ethically. Visit our Information Literacy Guide for Faculty to schedule an instructional session.

  • Subject Liaisons
Our librarians also serve as subject liaisons for the various academic departments across campus. They work with faculty teaching in their subject area to select new materials for the Library's collection, develop subject-specific Research Guides, and communicate what the Library has to offer.

  • Course Reserves
The Library's Course Reserves service allows faculty and instructors to make recommended or required course materials in a variety of formats available to their students for use in the Library.

  • Multimedia Services & Equipment
Instructors needing additional technology in the classroom or for use at a professional conference can borrow tablets, laptops, projectors, audio-visual carts, and other circulating equipment from the Library. Please visit our Multimedia Equipment Guide for more information.

  • Professional Development Collection
The Library offers a collection of books, videos, and journals to help you stay current on the latest trends in pedagogy and higher education. Visit our Professional Development Guide to learn more.

Have questions? Contact your department's Subject Liaison (the librarian who appears in the Your Librarian box on this Guide) or simply Ask Us! to learn more about what NWACC Library can do for you.
